GlenTris 1.0.2 Help

Starting a New Game
A new game starts as soon as you run GlenTris. If you would like to start a new game, you can select "New Game" from the "Game" menu or type Command-N. You can also click the "New Game" button in the preference panel.

Playing the Game
Move each piece left, right or down using the arrow keys. Rotate the piece with the up arrow. Drop the piece all the way to the bottom using the spacebar. The goal is to arrange the pieces to form complete horizontal rows. When such a row is completed, it is removed from the board. The game continues until you can no longer fit a new piece on the board.

Scoring
10 Points are awarded for each piece dropped, as well as "bonus" points based on from how high you drop the piece. 100 Points are awarded for completing one line, 400 points for two, 900 points for three and a whopping 1600 points for completing four lines (a "tetris").

The Preference Panel
You can adjust various aspects of the game using the preference panel, which is open by default. You can toggle it open or closed by selecting "Preferences" from the "GlenTris" menu, or by typing Command-comma. From the panel, you can select on which level to begin the game, and with how many rows of junk to begin the game. You can also turn the sound on and off, choose the direction of piece rotation, pause and unpause the game, and start a new game. Level and Junk settings take effect when a new game begins. Other settings take effect immediately.

Pausing the Game
If you wish to pause the game, select "Pause Game" from the "Game" menu or type Command-P. You can also click the "Pause" button in the preference panel. Repeating any of these actions unpauses the game.

Turning On/Off the Sound
You can toggle the sound on and off for the game by selecting the "Sound" item in the "Game" menu, or by typing Command-S. You can also turn the sound on and off from the preference panel.
