theboxchildren.com is a promotional Web site for Sharon Wyse's novel, The Box Children.
I worked closely with Ms. Wyse to develop a look and feel that fit the tone of her novel.
I designed and built the site, and wrote several custom php scripts for automated newsletter
subscription and maintenance, and submission of reader comments.
In the summer of 2003 the site was overhauled to support the paperback release.
In addition to a complete redesign, the site was recoded in php, and a number of new under-the-hood
features were added, including a completely rewritten newsletter system, which allows the author
to post new newsletter updates using a simple web-based form. I continue to maintain the Web site,
adding new features as necessary.
